Dedication to the Reconstruction and Stabilization Enterprise of Initiatives and Programs

FTI recognizes the importance of efforts to prepare, plan, and resource responses to complex emergencies, failing and failed states, and post-conflict environments. Such efforts could involve establishing security, building basic public services, and economic development by supporting initiatives such as:

  • President Bush’s Directive -  National Security Presidential Directive - NSPR-44
  • The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2005
  • DOD Directive 3000.05, Military Support for Stability, Security, Transition, and Reconstruction Operations
  • NSC Policy Coordination Committee for Reconstruction and Stabilization Operations
  • US Government Draft Planning Framework for Reconstruction, Stabilization and Conflict Transformation ( the J7 Pamphlet)
  • U.S. Army Field Manual 3-07 Stability Operations
  •  GAO Report 08-39, Stabilization and Reconstruction: Actions are Needed to Develop a Planning and Coordination Framework and Establish the Civilian Reserve Corps, dated 6 Nov 2007
  • FTI has successfully completed several Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) Programs and continues with new awards in January 2009. These SBIR/STTR Programs are a direct result of the U.S. Department of State, Office of the Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization partnering with OSD to mature process, tools and infrastructure which enables the efficient creation and implementation of national policy.
